Trusting the God Who Knew
Why would you ever complain, O Jacob,
or, whine, Israel, saying,
“God has lost track of me.
He doesn’t care what happens to me”?
Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening?
God doesn’t come and go. God lasts.
He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine.
He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath.
And he knows everything, inside and out.
He energizes those who get tired,
gives fresh strength to dropouts. Isaiah 48:27-29 MSG
Have you ever been frustrated... with God?
Like those times when He lets you follow through on plans only to find out in the end that He was not in that plan?
Or what about those times when it looks like everyone around you is being blessed by Him while you are wondering if He even hears you when you pray?
Maybe frustrated is not the correct word to use. How about confused or perplexed?
Like during those times when you are not sure what He is doing in your life?
Or if He is aware of what’s happening in your world?
How about when He allows things to happen that sets you behind schedule; brings utter disappointment; or catches you totally off guard?
How many times have you said out loud or at least to yourself, “God, where are you?” “Why didn’t you stop this?” “Do you even care about me?”
I have had times like this more often than I’d like to think about because life is just filled with things that are not always pleasant. And it doesn’t matter how prayerful you are or how strategic you are with planning, some things are just going to happen in life that will break your heart and test your faith.
When these times come we have the tendency to feel some kind of way towards God. Most times, we are careful not to overstep with our words even though thoughts in our mind are raging like a wild, untamed bronco.
During these times I am guilty of forgetting that I serve a God who is omniscient! Merriam-Webster defines it as Omniscient definition, having complete or unlimited knowledge, awareness, or understanding; perceiving all things.
Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,”[a]
says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was,
and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”
What a comforting reminder it is to know that even during this pandemic we serve a God who was not caught off guard like the rest of the world. He knows the why and the when of every question that we may have and every situation that we face. He knew it before it happened and He provided a solution before the problem existed.
I was made completely aware of this during a 12 day stay in the hospital. The day that I was admitted caught me completely by surprise. During my stay, those who were assigned to my care were even more surprised when none of them could diagnose what they were treating me for. The day I left the hospital they were all still baffled.

Our Lord is great, and rich in power; his understanding has no limitation.
I remember waking up one morning while still in the hospital. I was greeted with one word from Holy Spirit. All He said was omniscient. Even though this word was not foreign to me, I will admit that I needed to look up the full definition... having complete or unlimited knowledge, awareness, or understanding; perceiving all things.
Praise Jesus!!!! The God that I love and trust; the one who created me and knitted me together in my mother’s womb (Psalm 139) was sending me a personal message. He said, “They don’t know what’s wrong but I do. Trust me.”
Job 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath
of the Almighty gives me life.
From that moment on things began to change for me. So much so that I was released from the hospital when I refused a bone marrow test that ALL the doctors were insisting that I needed since they still couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. But God said no and I trusted Him!
When I went for my follow-up appointments each one proved that God was right!!!! Every test result proved that God knew what the doctors didn’t.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord.
“They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Whatever you may be facing right now, let me encourage you to trust the God who knew that it was coming your way. Let me encourage you to trust His knowledge and His wisdom. He loves you and He will not forsake you. He will help and deliver you!! It’s all a part of His plan for your good future!
