Connect Up!

Isaiah 55:9 (NKJV)

9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Well ladies,

Here we are nearing the end of another year. I don't know how 2016 has been for you but I have no complaints. I have certainly had more happy days than sad ones. I have received more good news than bad. I have succeeded in more things than I failed in.

Personally, I spent all of 2016 preparing for 2017. I literally started in January of this year to prepare for January of 2017. Now this was not the known plan. Through an unknown email, I ran across an invitation to a free boot camp hosted by Tamara Lowe (Kingdom Builders). This boot camp was for those who wanted to know how to turn their dreams into a reality. This boot camp was for those who needed to know how to use the gifts that God had given them to create a lucrative income to live on. And did I mention that it was FREE! It was for 30 days and I guess that is all I needed to unlock everything in my past that had kept me from moving forward.

I am an audio/visual learner so the live webinars helped me to hear as well as see how my gifts and talents could be maximized and monetized with limited financial resources. So I spent the rest of the year practicing what I had been taught. I learned to be okay with something not being as perfect or as professional as I would have wanted. I learned to accept the fact that it was a step of faith into a new place where I had never used faith before. Mistakes were expected and accepted but each one would be a learning experience to do better next time.

Now here is the wonderful, unexpected thing that happened by my taking this step of faith. God enlarged my territory!!! Unbeknownst to me, my life had become quite routine. You could set your watch or your calendar by the redundancy of my schedule. BORING!!!! But all of that changed when I decided to take just one step of faith. I connected with new people who were doing things that I always wanted to do. I have never in my life met more new people in one year as I have this year. On one occasion, I traveled by bus with complete strangers! But it all fit into the plan of God enlarging my territory!!!!

As I prepare to move into 2017, I do so with an expectation to continue connecting up!! I am open to new possibilities as I continue to step out of the boat of mediocrity and step into the realm of faith. I would have never thought that accepting an invitation to a boot camp with people I had NEVER heard of would usher me into a life that I once only dreamed of? But God knew! His ways are higher than mine as well as his thoughts.

I close out this year with my first published book, my personal website, two stage productions, several ministry travels and engagements, and the blessing of meeting many new people. I close it out with the expectation of entering 2017 with even more opportunities to share the gospel through the gifts that God has given me. I expect to continue to connect up with the thoughts and the ways that He has for me. I encourage you to do the same.
