Psalm 65:8

The whole world stands in awe

of the great things that you have done.

Your deeds bring shouts of joy

from one end of the earth to the other.

Greetings everyone,

I’m excited to share this word with you today, the very first day of August! When my feet hit the floor this morning, I heard Holy Spirit say, “Welcome to Awe-gust!” Even though I know the correct spelling of August, I literally saw a different spelling as Holy Spirit spoke the words.

He went on to say that this is the month that we will see God do awesome things. As our text says in Psalm 65:8…” from one end of the earth to the other, His deeds bring shouts of joy!!!” Those are shouting words by themselves. Hasn’t He already done great things for you in the past that caused you to shout? He certainly has for me. Most of you know my favorite thing to say about my God is, “I have a history of victory with Him!”

Exodus 15:11 asks the question, “Who is like You among the gods, O Lord? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, Awesome in praise, working wonders?”

Let me tell you, there is absolutely nothing, or nobody that is greater than our God! In this Awe-gust month, He will prove it to you. In fact, He wants to prove it to you. He will allow situations to arise in your life for the sole purpose of proving to you that He is the G.O.A.T.!!!

I know the devil would have you think otherwise. He is probably speaking to you even as you are reading this. You have heard his lies before! He will try to bring up things from your past to make you think that you don’t qualify for what God is going to do. He will try to make you forget about the things that God has done for you in the past. Stop right now and get your heart back to what God is saying.

Psalm 33:8 says, “Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.”

Awe defined means a feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear or wonder:

This is what Holy Spirit is trying to prepare us for. What God is going to do for you during this month of August will cause you to reverence Him more than you ever have. The way His right hand will move things around in your favor will cause your enemies to fear. God is going to wave His left hand to expose and expel your enemies once and for all!!! You and your enemies will have an “Awe-gust” experience. You will be rejoicing in victory while your enemy will be fleeing in fear!!!

Psalm 68:35 says, “O God, You are awesome from your sanctuary. The God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be God!”

I am not just preaching to you. I am preaching to myself. I have big things on the table. Some of the projects seem impossible and others are intimidating, to say the least. So many times I have wanted to pull the plug for fear of failure. Or maybe I didn’t want to put in the work that is required to see it through to completion. But then I remember, God has empowered me to accomplish the work. I cannot stop! I cannot quit! I cannot wait! I cannot fail!!!

Luke 5:26 says, “They were all struck with astonishment and began glorifying God; and they were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen remarkable things today.”

Are you ready for your “Awe-gust” experience? Are you ready for God to blow your mind with His blessing? I know I am and I promise to keep you informed of all the things that the Lord does for me in August. I will be expecting to hear about yours too!
