Focus On The "Fixer"

"Do not be over-anxious about anything, but by prayer and earnest pleading, together with thanksgiving, let your request be unreservedly made known in the presence of God." Philippians 4:6

Today, I am pleased to share a writing that was sent to me from my daughter-in-law, Takisha Jethroe. It blessed me so much that I asked her permission to share it with my readers. I pray that it blesses you as well.

So, on my ongoing quest to at least reduce my constant worrying, I'm always listening for God's voice. He asked me this morning to verbalize all the things that are on my current worry list. So, as I drove down HWY 70, I DID. I tried to name everything because I was certain that He REALLY had requested my list.

When I was done He asked me to consider the list and what impact those things had on my life. Needless to say, that as I went back over the list a lot of it was either man-made or stuff I had absolutely NO control over, some of them were both. Then He reminded me that I am ALWAYS seeking to increase and improve my faith but then I allow myself to be distracted by the PROBLEMS. The He said, "FOCUS on the FIXER"!

If you stay focused on the FIXER, you will find peace in knowing that the FIXER can handle and fix it. When you focus on the problems, worry and doubt can creep in and affect you in all types of negative ways. Then He said, "through worry and fear...evil can creep in". He reminded me of all the stories I could recall involving someone who was worried about something and allowed the worry to cause them to act in a foolish manner and create bigger problems. I was like, "Wow God, you are RIGHT". So then He reminded me to give it ALL to HIM, and keep my faith by staying FOCUSED on the FIXER. He reminded me how much lighter my load would be and how much more peaceful my days and nights would be.

The He said, "How dare you presume that you know the outcome of anything past this second because you don't". I was embarrassed but not too proud to admit again that HE was right. I don't know everything, but I know that he told me..."Do not be over-anxious about anything, but by prayer and earnest pleading, together with thanksgiving, let your request be unreservedly made known in the presence of God." Philippians 4:6

So my mantra right now is FOCUS ON THE "FIXER".

Peace and blessings to all...
